SUMMARY:Hands-On Habitat Workday - NOCO PF at Cobb Lake
DESCRIPTION:Come out and meet the chapter while doing HANDS-ON HABITAT work and making a difference in your area! \nJoin us for a fun and rewarding day at the Cobb Lake Unit of the Wellington SWA. We will pack out trash\, clean parking lots\, remove invasive trees and have an amazing time with our fellow upland hunting and bird dog enthusiasts. We are excited to partner with some of our local Northern Colorado hunting dog clubs for this event\, so if you have a dog at home and would like to learn more about what these clubs offer for events and training\, this is an event you won’t want to miss! \nPlease bring gloves\, boots\, appropriate workwear\, sunscreen\, and any tools you want to help collect garbage. Friends and family are welcome to come. You do not need to be a Pheasants Forever member to participate in this event. We need a fairly accurate volunteer count to ensure we have enough food and ask that each participant is registered for the event.   \nWe will provide lunch\, bottled water\, trash bags\, and snacks.

DESCRIPTION:Unfortunately\, we have had to cancel this event.   \nWe have rescheduled it for December 3-5\, 2021 so Save the Date! \nNorthern Colorado Pheasants Forever invite veterans to join us for a weekend of pheasant hunting and camaraderie. We thank you for your service; hosting you for a pheasant hunt is the least we can do.  All meals and boarding are provided. Activities include horseback riding\, ATV riding\, clay shooting\, archery\, a live quail and pheasant hunt in Nebraska\, and more! All meals and boarding are provided.  \n\nLimited to 10 youth participants.\nAll youth must be accompanied by a guardian ($80/guardian).\nCosts include all meals and lodging from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch.\nWe have room to safely accommodate 10 youth and their guardians.\nCamping spots (with electric) are available if you prefer this option.  \nThe $225 registration fee helps pay for food\, dorm\, cost of fuel for ATV\, feed for horses\, ammo\, clays\, etc.\nSunday’s Nebraska pheasant hunt requires an additional fee of $38 to pay for the required youth licenses and habitat stamps. The rock structures are strategically built in wet meadows/drainages within sagebrush rangelands. These structures help naturally heal active erosion due to runoff to improve the habitat for sage grouse and other wildlife. \n  \nWe will be working alongside Wildlife Restoration Volunteers (WRV)\, who has the “go-ahead” to proceed with the project following social distancing and limited group size of volunteers per Colorado Dept. of Health & Environment (CDPHE) guidelines.
