“Thank you Northern Colorado Pheasants Forever group for volunteering their time and funds to put on the women’s event in Nunn, CO! I am forever thankful I got to shoot my FIRST pheasant and learn from some of the nicest people around (and safe!). Thank you again and I highly recommend this event for any women that enjoy shooting or want to learn something new!”
In 2024 we hosted 4 events with participants
- April 20 – Women’s Event at Great Guns. Includes archery, .22 rifle, trap shooting, and a planted pheasant hunt. The event will be limited to 18 women, 18 years of age or older. We will be providing lunch. Cost: $10 for this event.
- August 17 – Sporting Clays Shoot at Great Guns. We will start at 9 a.m. A raffle will be held for a couple of guns and other prizes. The cost is $90 for adults and $75 for youth. Lunch will be provided. Come join us for a tune-up for dove season. All proceeds from this event will go to our college scholarship fund.
- October 5 – Women’s Event at Great Guns. Includes archery, .22 rifle, trap shooting, and a planted pheasant hunt. The event will be limited to 18 women. We will provide lunch. The cost of the event is $30.
- October 25-27 – Women’s Event at Camp Machasay near Amherst, Colo. Includes horseback riding, ATV driving, trap shooting, .22 rifle target shooting, archery, and a planted pheasant hunt. This event is for any lady 18 years or older. It is limited to 12 women. The fee is $230. This fee includes meals, lodging, pheasants, and use of ATVs and horses.
